With reference to your letter of the 22nd January last, 728/98, respecting the proposed construc-

tion of a road between Wanchai and Wong-nei-cheoung

gaps, Hong Kong; I am directed by the Secretary of State

reply from the Colony as to the estimated cost of the

road.
